Environmental Policy

Gympie Toyota is committed to operate in a safe, responsible manner which respects the environment and the health of our employees, customers and the community. 

All Gympie Toyota employees and contractors are expected to understand, promote and assist in the implementation of this policy and the accompanying principles. 

We are all accountable for conforming to this Environmental Policy. Each employee, including a contracted employee, is responsible for working in a manner that respects the health and safety of the individual and the environment. This behaviour is a requirement of our workplace. 

All Managers, beginning with the Dealer Principal, are specifically accountable for assuring compliance with this policy. 

In order to achieve and maintain these high standards, Gympie Toyota will: 

1. Commit to the principles of cleaner work methods in its activities, including actions to reduce the generation of waste, to implement preventative measures with regard to pollution, to conserve energy and resources and to recycle materials. 

2. Ensure all relevant employees and contractors are informed and made aware of their personal responsibility to the environment. We will work with suppliers and Government to reduce our environmental footprint. 

3. Comply with all applicable environmental laws, regulations and standards pertaining to Gympie Toyota’s activities. 

4. Regularly assess the impact of Gympie Toyota’s activities on the environment. We aim to challenge ourselves on reducing our carbon footprint and review our operations on lowering water usage. 

5. Utilise carbon offset option for dealership travel purposes.
